And with this Christmas wish is missed
The point I could convey
If only I could find the words to say to let You know how much You've touched my life
Because here is where You're finding me, in the exact same place as New Year's eve
And from a lack of my persistency
We're less than half as close as I want to be
And the first time
That You opened Your eyes did You realize that You would be my Savior
And the first breath that left Your lips
Did You know that it would change this world forever
And so this Christmas I'll compare the things I felt in prior years
To what this midnight made so clear
That You have come to meet me here
To look back and think that
This baby would one day save me
In the hope that what You did
That you were born so I might live
To look back and think that
This baby would one day save me
And I, I celebrate the day
That You were born to die
So I could one day pray for You to save my life
" I celebrate the day, you were born to die, so I could one day pray for you to save my life"
As you all know Christmas is fast approaching, and as I think about family and friends and the year gone by I can't help but look back and ask if I have made a difference. Did I make a difference for Christ this year... or better yet did I become different for Christ this year. This song really reminds me that I am not even half as close to him as I wanna be... but I am working on it. I feel like the more I am learning the closer to him I am getting. And I am glad for this but I think next year I will try even harder because like I said I'm not even half there yet.
UPDATE
Now for those of you who want to know what's going on here... I am in the process of cleaning, studying and packing ... Yes I said packing. I am all set to come home in 10 days and I can not wait. I miss all you at home so much ... but I know while I am home I am going to miss everyone here a lot. We are really becomming like a family and I love it.
Tomorrow is CHristmas Chapel and I can't wait, it's always so much fun to celebrate and eat with friends... even if we have to wear our uniforms and clean up afterwards... I know it will be awesome.
I Love You All and I Hope You All Have A Very Merry Christmas!!!!
